This is such a brilliant verse, isn't it? God sent his one and only son to die. Why? Because of his infinite love for us. He wanted to save us so that we didn't have to die, but the only way for him to do that was for someone else to take our place. The only person to do this was Jesus - he was the only one with clean hands and a pure heart (see Psalm 24:4). Even though we were sinners, God still loved us, and he always will! Lucy
