Now, the literal meaning of this verse is just to remember. We need to remember that God is faithful and just to forgive us - if we confess our sins and ask for that forgiveness. That's why this verse is an important reminder to us.
In addition to that, we are also told that we don't need to do anything else to be forgiven. We simply need to be trusting in Jesus, and just ask for forgiveness when we recognise that we've done wrong - and he will forgive us!
So, this week, I challenge you to remember this verse and keep it in your mind. When we sin, we just need to ask for forgiveness and realise that we've sinned, and God will forgive us! Lucy
